Seriously, a name is something you bear your whole life. No offense intended, they sound like adult film actor names, and just imagine how teased a kid with that name would be in school. I personally think that naming your son with a beginning letter of his father's name is a great compromise if you don't want to do the junior thing. :) Also, you could probably give the baby the dad's name as a middle name if you don't want him to have his dad's name as a first. Or use it as a first, but give him a nickname, or call him by his middle name.

Some R names I like are
Raphael (I like this one, because it`s not too common)
Reagan (it`s unisex so you might still meet girls with this name, but it means SON of the small ruler)
Reed (also uncommon)
Rhys (this is cool, but a bit short.)
Richard (kind of old manish, but the name Ricky could make it more lively)
Reilley (a bit trendy, and unisex but I still like it on a BOY)
Riordan (interesting. I like the nickname Rory for it)
Robert (Very classic and traditional, which is nice, in my opinion. Nickname Rob or Bobby, etc.,)
Robin (Unisex, but I still like it on a boy)
Rocco (Interesting, but Madonna`s son was named this. if that doesn`t bother you then go for it)
Roderick (I LOVE this name, and would call him Rory, Roddy or Rick for short. Very uncommon)
Rodney (This one just gets the nickname Rod. Maybe a bit boring, but I still like it)
Roland (Nickname Rolly? Like the puppy? lol. But I think it's kind of cool and unique)
Roman (This one's been getting a lot more popular lately, but you might still like it)
Ross (Classic, short, simple.)
Roan (I think this is an interesting name. I believe it's a colour too.)
Rowan (I prefer this on a girl, but it could be nice to have a unisex name ready in case the scan is wrong)
Russell (a lot of people tell me that it is an old man's name, but I love it and think it's great on a kid! I'd love to meet a baby Russ!)

A lot of people if they don't like the fathers name just give it as a first name then just get the baby to go by the middle name. We did this with my nephew Richard, he goes by his middle name Evan.



Some R name suggestions some are a little different but I wanted to give you lots of choices and the meaning if I could find it.
